The background paper was created using digital elements, and this is a close iip of the metal 'snowflake' with a pearl centre

A VINTAGE THEMED EXPLOSION BOX

This was made for a client, who wanted to give money as a gift, but didn't want to use a boring old envelope.

I created the box lid out of heavy cardstock, and printed the image onto textured cardstock, use a red cs mat, washi tape, gems and a luxurious satin bow:

The base of the box is a single layer, with a Christmas themed dp layer,

In the bottom of the base I added an envelop (made using the envelope punch board) and the same wide ribbon that, when tied, would cause the sides of the base to 'explode' when the lid was lifted off.  The envelope will contain the money.

Feedback that I received yesterday was that the recipient was extremely happy.
