TUTORIAL WEDNESDAY AT BUGABOO STAMPS

Today at the Bugaboo Stamps' Catch the Bug blog it's Tutorial Wednesday, and I have an

EASY EASEL CARD TUTORIAL

to share with you.

This is what your finished card will look like:

Here is the 'how-to'

Cut your cardstock to 4 inches x 11 inches.

Turn it to landscape orientation, and score at ....
 4 inches (mountain) … 5½ inches (valley) … 7 inches (mountain)

Use your bone folder to crisp up your folds, and your card should look like this:

Now you can go ahead and decorate the outside and inside of your card as you would for a conventional easel card, and remember to add your 'doorstop' so that your card doesn't slide closed (I have used a balloon diecut for this)

The Bugaboo image featured on my card is called Edward Elephant Present that I coloured using alcohol markers:

I hope you'll get a chance to try out this card fold - it's fun, as well as being quick and easy.

Thanks for popping by today.

I used a digital download of striped paper an a black CS mat and placed it under the boom box.  Some gems and a peel off sentiment were added:

LET'S GO 'ROUND THE BLOCK' WITH SQUIGGLEFLY

Today's new challenge at Squigglefly is

LET'S GO ROUND THE BLOCK

The challenge is to round everything on your card.  You can use die cut shapes (like ovals, circles...) that are already rounded, but any square corners are not allowed.  We'd love for you to use a Squigglefly image, to be prize eligible it's required, but everyone is welcome to play along.

Here is my card to inspire you to enter

The featured image is lovely image from artist Norma Burrell.  This image is called Pussywillow Fairy.

I used alcohol markers for the colouring, and sewed sequins on as the embellishment.  Also used are the following from my stash :

white cs base
orange cs mat
border punch

This is the inside of the card

I hope you will join us - HERE is the link to the Squigglefly challenge blog.

ANYTHING BUT A CARD MONDAY AT BUGABOO STAMPS

I made a folder to hold a variety of sizes in  post-it pads - I don't know about you, but those things are so small and they have a knack of hiding away on my desk.  Hopefully now they are in this folder, they will not be able to do that!

The Bugaboo image featured here is one from the set called Cat Block Trio.  I added googly eyes too.

This what the inside of the folder looks like:
